Religious viewpoints and policy statements are the focus of this section. You will find a brief description of a variety of religious traditions. Obviously, not all world religions and denominations are listed in this packet. Additionally, these descriptions are not to be used to coerce or convince anyone about their own belief system. They are to be used as a guide to help advance understanding.

The second part of this section consists of policy statements from some denominations that have written formal resolutions on organ and tissue donation. Again, these are not an exhaustive record of all policy statements.

It is recommended that you encourage congregations who have policy statements to include a copy of them in their congregational bulletin to help raise awareness. The religious views handout can be used at health fairs or other multi-denominational events.
