Transportation

Getting to the transplant center is a challenge for some patients: they may live too far away or may be too sick or disabled to drive. Described below are two general categories of transportation resources: air service for those who are traveling long distances and special bus/van services for those who are disabled and traveling in and around the Washington metropolitan area. Again, you are urged to check with the social service department of your transplant center for help in getting the assistance you need.
