The Compassionate Friends, Inc. is a nationwide self-help organization for families who have experienced the death of a child. All parents are welcome to participate, whatever the age of their child who has died or the cause of death. Participants include families of children who have been organ donors or recipients. Family members contacting the national office will be sent general information on bereavement, a national newsletter and a resource guide. They will also be directed to the closest chapter in their community.

This is a non-profit membership organization founded in 1988 to provide support and information to the well spouses of the chronically ill and to educate human service professionals and the public about the needs of spousal caregivers and their families.

The foundation publishes a bi-monthly newsletter and has chapters throughout the country, including several in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Annual dues are $20 unless they present a financial hardship.

This is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for family caregivers through its services to members and its educational outreach activities.

The association publishes a quarterly newsletter, sponsors a caregivers network and plans several informational and educational programs for the future. Annual membership is $15.
