Transplant Centers

There are seven transplant centers currently operational in the Washington metropolitan area. Not all centers perform all types of transplants. Patient demand, transplantation expertise and organ availability are all factors the centers use to determine the types of programs offered. Please contact the centers directly for further information.

Note: UNOS maintains comprehensive statistical data on every transplant center in the United States. At no charge, UNOS will provide patients with reports of basic statistics by transplant center for up to ten individual centers. It will also provide reports on additional centers for a fee. Contact UNOS at 800-243-6667 (800-24-DONOR), 804-330-8500 or FAX 804-330-8517.
